Picnics

Many of our customers choose to extend their days out in Cambridge by adding a delicious picnic to our punt tours. Cambridge Cheese Company and The Secluded Tea both offer us fantastic – and very different picnics.  Both can be enjoyed either on the punt (as long as you are purchasing a private tour) or in a quiet shady spot on Jesus Green either before or after your punting tour. Cambridge boasts vast expanses of green open space, so sit back, relax and spend some time enjoying your gourmet picnic.

The Cambridge Cheese Company

This small independent and local delicatessen assemble delicious gourmet picnics especially for us. Including a selection from the following: Artisan cheeses, cured meats, fresh breads, bread sticks, locally produced pork pies, top grade olives, succulent sun-dried tomatoes and a selection or relishes and chutneys. If there is something you are particularly partial to please ask. At just £10 per person (minimum order; 2 people) this picnic is a really indulgent treat, especially when accompanied by a bottle of wine for those perfect lazy days out in Cambridge. We can arrange this with The Cambridge Wine Merchants who boast a fantastic selection of Reds, Whites and sparkling wines to fit any budget. Please contact us for further information

The Secluded Tea Party Picnic

Miss Sue Flay at The Secluded Tea Party has put together a very special picnic for our lovely customers. Please note the minimum order is for 10 people (if you have a smaller group please call us to discuss options). This gorgeous picnic comprises of; Delicate finger sandwiches (2 fillings), A large savory tart (choice of seasonal fillings), freshly baked scones (with luxury preserves and clotted cream) and a large layer cake (again a selection of seasonal fillings and flavours are available). This sumptuous picnic costs £25 per person and comes complete with loose leaf tea or iced tea. (Please note vintage crockery hire is extra).
