4 Tips to Stay Healthy During Cold Season

As the coldest months of the year are around the corner, it’s important to save our first and most important priority; our health. Autumn and Winter are the typical seasons we can get a runny nose, a sore throat and a flu easily. Here are some tips from Let’s Go Punting to stay healthy in cold weather; so you won’t need to cancel your Punting Trip with us!

1. Dress warm!

Layers, layers, layers… a lot of people in Cambridge are running around in shorts even during winter, which definitely doesn’t help them to protect themselves from getting ill.

2. Eat Healthy!

Eating healthy is always the key; however, this time of the year it’s twice as important to consume food that contains phytochemicals, so you get the most important vitamins in a natural way rather then from pills. Put the vitamins aways and eat lots of fruits and veggies!

3. Drink Tea!

The best immune strengthening teas are lemon, honey and ginger, chamomile, green and dandelion tea.

4. Wash Your Hands!

You need to be extra careful during the cold season, especially, if you are going to crowded places. Wash your hands regularly to make sure you get rid of all the bacteria and viruses. You also need to avoid touching your face, as it’s the easiest way to get infected.
