Our Private Cambridge Punting tours are perfect for groups who prefer not to share. The boat is exclusively yours as you glide along the College backs in Cambridge. Sights include the majestic Kings College Chapel, the Bridge of Sighs and The Wren Library.

Our traditional private punting tours remain a popular option with our customers – the entire boat to yourselves whether you are 2 or 12 people. Our tours begin on the corner of Jesus Green near Magdalene College and turn at Silver Street Bridge near Queens College returning to Jesus Green 50 minutes later.

We use dynamic pricing meaning prices vary throughout the day, week and season. We offer our best rates when the river is at its quietest – before 11am and weekday evenings with tours at this time from £79 for 2 people.

Once you have selected your date the prices for all available departures times will be shown on the screen.

Punting Tours in Cambridge

In Cambridge, punting is the ideal way to see the stunning riverside colleges of Cambridge University in comfort & style. Our private Cambridge Punting tours last for approximately 50 minutes and pass by 7 riverside colleges (Magdalene, St Johns, Trinity, Trinity Hall, Clare, Kings and Queens) and famous landmarks including Kings College Chapel, The Bridge of Sighs, The Wren Library and The Mathematical Bridge. Our expertly trained chauffeurs will effortlessly punt you along the college backs whilst entertaining you with tales of past alumni, University history and student pranks. All of our expertly trained guides are local to Cambridge so feel free to ask them for advice on what to do with your time in Cambridge.

Know Before You Go

Tours are booked for a specific time. Late arrival will result in a missed or shortened tour.

You will receive a text message 5 minutes before your departure time – to aid social distancing please do not come to our check in until you have received this message.

You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks on board.

Tours booked online are paid for in full at the time of booking. If you would prefer to pay a 30% deposit with the balance due 2 weeks before the booking date please CONTACT US.

COVID-19 Safety Measures

Perspex screens separate different groups where physical distancing is not possible.
Boat sides and cushions cleaned between each tour.
Specific departure times booked in advance to assist social distancing and avoid queuing.
Free audio tour available on an app (in the case that screens and masks make it difficult to hear the chauffeur).
To minimising cross-contamination umbrellas are temporarily unavailable. (Life jackets can be provided on advance request.)
We are unable to allow any customers the opportunity to have a go at punting.
