Anything better than finishing work a little bit early and heading to a staff do, where your bosses welcome you with a barbecue and chilled drinks? Of course, at Let’s Go Punting we are trickier than that: we also surprised our staff with some fun competitive games.
We were planning to do three games, for which we only needed three things to prepare: a colourful pen, paper cups and a box of After Eights. A fourth surprise game was added by one of our staff members: the cardboard game; for which, we needed – surprisingly – a piece of cardboard (cereal boxes are the best).
RULES:
1. Cup Game – version one:
Colour a paper cup and place it to the bottom of a ‘cup tower’. Players need to move the cups one buy one from the bottom, all the way around until the colourful cup gets to the top. The quickest player wins: easy-peasy!
2. Treat Yo’self After8:
Place an After Eight chocolate to each players forhead, who will need to move it to their mouth and eat it without using nothing but the muscles of their face. The quickest player wins.
3. Cup Game – version 2:
For this game, you will need at least eight paires standing opposite to each other. Place a cup to the ground between each pair and start shouting out body parts. Players need to touch the body parts mentioned until they hear ‘cup’, when they need to grab the cup placed between them. The quicker player gets to the next round. The winners compete with each other each round until the last person wins.
4. Carboard Game:
Place a cereal box to the ground, which each player need to pick up with their mouth while only their feet are touching the ground. Cut down a little bit from the top of the box after each completed round. Whoever goes lowest while picking up the cardboard without touching the ground wins!
