New Year Resolutions are made every 1st January in order to make us healthier, kinder or simply better people. Depending on how strong our willpower is, we might stick to them or they might fade away as the year goes on. New Year Resolutions have a religious background; Babylonians made promises to their gods at the start of each year that they would return borrowed objects and pay their debts. The Romans began each year by making promises to the god Janus, for whom the month of January is named.

1. Lose Weight and Eat Healthier
The biggest problem of all. However, if you can resist sugar and alcohol and work out regularly, miracles might happen to your body and mind.
2. Giving Up Drinking/Smoking
Again, it’s a very challenging one, but not impossible. Think positively – leaving unhealthy habits behind is the best thing you can do to yourself.
3. Learn a New Skill or Hobby
Learning something new is always good and refreshing.
4. Spend More Time with Family and Friends
It’s important to spend some time with your loved ones… for example, on a relaxing punt tour! 🙂
5. Find Another Job
Do what you love and love what you do; this is our motto.
