When people ask questions about rain, we usually provide them with the following answers: there are two options in poor weather, which are listed below.

Option 1Light Rain. If the rain is not too heavy we will still go, we have umbrellas and blankets on the boat.

Option 2Heavy Rain. We will still go ahead if you would like. Alternatively we will offer the event organiser a voucher to return by prior arrangement within 6 months of the original departure date or offer a 70% refund.

You are very welcome to bring your own food and drinks onboard. Please bring plastic glasses/flutes as opposed to glass. If booking a seat on a shared tour, please be considerate of those around you when consuming any refreshments.

We have no objection to you decorating your boat with balloons/flowers but please be aware that the boat is unlikely to be available before your tour time.

Punting is an incredibly safe activity. That being said we usually advise parents/carers with young children to position the children in the middle of the punts and make sure they are not putting their hands on or over the edge of the punt. The punts are very stable and will not tip over.

Punting is extremely safe but we do have a limited supply of children’s life jackets available. If you think you will require a life jacket please let us know in advance.

You are welcome leave it at our punt station. Alternatively there is usually space for you to fold it up and take it on the boat with you.

There is no minimum age but under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.

If shared tour tickets are unavailable April – September it will be because tickets have sold out. We have a set number of reduced price tickets available per day. If e-tickets have sold-out please do come down to our check in on the corner of Jesus Green where our cashier will assist you in booking on to the next available departure.

October to March we do not offer a daily service, if e-tickets are unavailable it is most likely we are not open.

We do not prebook times for shared tours. Our e-tickets are valid for single use for arrival between 11am and 5pm excluding Saturdays. On arrival at our check in desk you will be seated on the next available tour. At this point you will be given a tour time. You do not need to wait at the desk until your tour time, you can instead come back just before your allotted time.

Groupons are valid Monday to Friday. Please arrive between our opening time to check in. On arrival you will be seated on the next available tour going out. Bring your voucher with you.

This is entirely up to you, if you feel the service you received from your chauffeur warrants a tip please feel free to do so.

Unfortunately at this time we don’t.

Time allowing you will be able to try punting yourself if you want to near the end of your tour once the boat is back at Quayside. This is done at your own risk and only available on private chauffeured tours.
