We use dynamic pricing meaning prices vary throughout the day, week and season. We offer our best rates when the river is at its quietest – before 11 a.m. and on weekday evenings.

Once you have selected your date the prices for all available departures times will be shown on the screen. Please note at busy times we do sell out online so we recommend booking as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

  Good, reliable service. The sales people here are less aggressive as some others on the plank by the river.

Big surprise for a town like Cambridge—you’d expect a certain standard considering its history and academic prestige—but beware of predatory sales techniques by these seeming young and innocent college chaps on the board by the river. I was aggressively approached and haggled with a couple that reminded me of my experiences in Cairo rather than Cambridge.

Tours are booked for a specific time. Late arrival will result in a missed tour.

5 minutes before your departure time you will receive a text message, please come to our meeting point when you have received this message.

You’re welcome to bring your own food and drinks on board. Please ensure you take all your rubbish with you.

Discounted distanced shared tour tickets are only available online and are paid for in full at the time of booking.

Chauffeured Punting in Cambridge

Our shared Cambridge Punting tours hold a maximum of 12 passengers and last for approximately 45-50 minutes. We seat groups per row or per section (2 rows facing each other). Select the appropriate ticket for your group. Please note family tickets for up to 4 or 7 must include at least 1 child under 5.

In Cambridge, Punting is the number one thing to do and at Let’s Go Punting we pride ourselves in providing an award-winning tour. During the tour, you will pass by 7 riverside colleges and famous landmarks including Kings College Chapel, The Bridge of Sighs, The Wren Library and The Mathematical Bridge. During the tour, your chauffeur will provide a guided tour including historical facts and anecdotes about Cambridge University and the buildings you are passing. Feel free to ask your chauffeur any questions you may have.

COVID-19 Safety Measures

Boat sides and cushions cleaned between each tour.
Specific departure times booked in advance to assist social distancing and avoid queuing.
Free audio tour available on an app (if required).
To minimise cross-contamination umbrellas are temporarily unavailable. (Life jackets can be provided on advance request.)
We are unable to allow any customers the opportunity to have a go at punting.
